A 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a wonderful way to deepen your knowledge of the practice and really delve into the lifestyle ~ even if you have no desire to ever teach it yourself. Some of us feel the call to become formal teachers, but even if that isn't you, you can still reap all the benefits of this training and apply it to your own path.
Laurin's (formerly Kala Yoga) Teacher Trainings are small and intimate (maximum of 10 Trainees) with plenty of individual attention, so you can learn, grow and progress in your own practice and your teaching.
Our next 200 Hour Teacher Training will run for 9 months starting in April 2024, allowing you to graduate in December 2024!
This 200 Hour Course is a hybrid of live, in-person training which takes place at the Yoga-Riffic Studio in Orangeville, Ontario, plus some pre-recorded video content with the primary instructors for you to view at home between live weekends.
Please see below for information on the curriculum, dates, and tuition fees.

This transformative experience is so much more than a Yoga Teacher Training; this is a life-changing course that will support you in uncovering deeper layers of yourself. You will see yourself transform, through intuitive physical practice, truly accessible meditations, energizing breathwork, and deep self love, acceptance, and honest self reflection.
Former owner of Kala Yoga, Laurin's expertise and experience enriches this training beyond the basic 200 hour level yoga teacher trainings; her background in Tantra, Hatha, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Qi Gong, Thai Yoga Massage, Dance, and Somatic Embodiment broadens the range of topics and depth of understanding you will receive through her transmission of the material.
Our students get the most out of our integrated approach which includes group exercises, lectures, assignments, experiential anatomy, plenty of online content, and in person practice and feedback. We aim to give you the best start to your Yoga journey by covering a broad range of topics in our curriculum, allowing you to further your practice and education in niche areas.
We firmly believe there are just so many things you can't quite get from a fully online Training, and we really pride ourselves on the sense of community that is always so evident in our courses.
Registration is now open for our 200 Hour YTT!

If you're considering taking YTT, do it for your love of yoga and the hope for making the world a better place. |
"Taking yoga teacher training really opened my eyes to the deeper aspects of yoga.
Not only did I learn about the 8 Limbs (trust me, they play a big part) but I have learned that this is the life I live now. Things happen, good and bad. Time happens, stay positive, everything will work out as it’s supposed to for this life time. You will learn to appreciate the lessons, and the people in it. It takes 3 of the most special yogis in the world to take you on this life changing experience, trust Laurin, Jason and Mirana to do their best, to open their hearts and yours. If you're considering taking YTT, do it for your love of yoga and the hope for making the world a better place. The teaching part is just one of the many benefits that comes with it." - Melissa W. |

"I have just finished the 200 Hour YTT training with Laurin and Jason. It has been an amazing journey and Laurin and Jason are the perfect yoga instructors to help navigate those waters. Classes were always engaging, meaningful and chock full of information. Their transparency, openness and commitment to our group was absolutely marvelous and so appreciated.
As well, what an experience to be around a group of like-minded people through this journey! Laurin and Jason have a very inclusive and enthusiastic way about them that is infectious and allowed us to grow and become the yogis we aspire to be. They are the best cheerleaders! If you are even thinking about taking YTT, this should be the place for you to explore! Namaste." - Patti B. |

"The Kala Yoga YTT is one of the best investments I have made in myself. As a student of yoga, I was curious to explore the philosophies of the practice and different meditation and pranayama/breathing techniques. The course encompassed this as well as over 100 postures, anatomy, physiology, and practicum. Having spoken to other teachers within Canada, one aspect of this training that is particularly unique are the different areas of yoga covered by guest instructors trained in those areas,
such as power, yin, pre/post natal, and nidra. A year after completing my training, I teach within a studio setting, privately, and at community events. I have taught individual one on one sessions and classes of over 100 participants. I often get asked where I took my training and proudly call Kala Yoga my home studio. Laurin and Jason are true yogis within their practice and lives. I highly recommend Laurin, Jason, and Kala Yoga to anyone who is interested in a YTT program." - Stephanie J. |
