 Ecstatic Dance is a practice of free-form dance, and encourages us to show up AS WE ARE. We follow the impulses of the body and spirit to move with the music, however the music moves you! There may be swaying, shaking, bouncing, crawling, clapping, stomping, and anything that feels right in the moment.
Cacao is a heart-opening plant medicine that allows us to soften into the subtleties of our experience, and opens us up to more connection and love. Together the cacao and dance work beautifully together to create deeper connection to yourself and to your community. For the first time we will have TWO WAVES of dance, meaning: we will build to a peak, come down and unwind, then build to a second peak, before coming down and integrating at the end. You can stay for one wave, or both! 7:30pm Opening Circle, Intentions, Cacao Ritual 8:30pm Wave #1 9:30pm Slowing Down, Clearing, Sharing 10pm Wave #2 11pm Integration & Conclusion You can integrate and duck out before the second wave if you like (around 10pm), or stay and build up your energy again!
